Dear IYW Listeners,

This is one of those times when we can’t find the words.   How do you say so-long to family?  Do you jump out the car like you’ve been kidnapped and yell “holla” or do we have a sing-a-long of “End of the Road”?

Who knew when we started this venture that it would last almost seventeen years. You visited Fontella’s Dreamworld, waited for Redbone to say “zippity do dah”, listened to Sterling shriek “I’m a Regal and I keeps money”, were looking out when Kiana threatened to “tell her daddy”,  identified with the southern Pookie, the sultry Nikki, crazy Sarah, down to earth Monie, Dr. Hackett and a number of other characters  you felt as though you knew.  You loved them and you hated them, but you listened.  And for that we will be forever grateful.

By now, you know where this is going.  Yes, after almost seventeen ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­ years we are shutting down production of It’s Your World.   It’s been a blast for us, as well as our talented actors, production staff and hopefully for you the listener.

Long goodbyes still end the same, so perhaps we should end this one by just saying “thanks”, it’s been a blast.   We appreciate you, may God Bless You and remember “It’s Your World”.
