I am really going to miss hearing the show. I was totally hooked. I began listening to the show on the Tom Joyner Morning Show. Then I found you on the internet. Now, you are leaving. I remember actually going through withdrawals when IYW stopped running on TJMS. I thought I would never hear it again, but then I discovered it on the net and could actually catch up with all the episodes I missed (about 6 months), that was heaven. I first tuned in when Simone got killed (Monie’s wife). — That was a pretty long time ago. I became addicted then. I realize every thing must come to an end. Wow. Seventeen years. I think I just been listening for about two, maybe three years. So, I’ve missed a lot. Like so many other fans, I first started listening to IYW on the Tom Joyner Show after I was introduced to it by my brother and cousin. After it went off the air, I was lucky to find it on the internet. And now it going away again. I do agree that this would make a excellent TV show. Not a movie because it has too much going on to cover in 2.5 hours. Good luck to the cast members and the production crew. The stories were great and I was always anxious to tune in to the next episode. If you ever come back, I hope to fine you again.

15 years … i’m going to really miss it, i remember when i use to listen to it on K A C E, in 1994 on the Tom Jorner morn show … wow

I didn’t realize it’s been 17 years. I’m going to really miss it. They say when God closes one door, he opens another. This morning I read about a new Soap on the web called “The Proud and Privileged.” The website is http://www.storiesourway.tv. I checked it out. Evidently the writers were inspired by It’s Your World, because the storylines seem so real and down to earth. I’m glad I not only get to hear it, but I can see it also, because the brothas are too fine!

LOL!!! What did ya’ll do,stalk my fam & get your characters??? Redbones mother’s name is Pearl & so was my grandmother (& just as sweet & gangster!!!)My Grandfather could have been Bone’s prototype down to his complection,gangster ways,& devoted love of his family!!! & he was from the MIA just like my family!!! Wow!!! Too many co-inky-dinkys!!!

This show has hit home for many of us listeners that’s why it will be sorely missed!!! It’s storylines have encompassed a broad spectrum of Black American Life-The Good,The Bad,The Ugly & The Gangster!!! This cannot be the end,I’m a diehard optimist & I believe “This Phoenix” that is “IT’S YOUR WORLD” will rise out of these ashes & soar to newer & greater heights unparalleled in American entertainment!!!

I FIRST HEARD IYW RIDING TO WORK IN 1998, I FIRST THOUGHT, WHAT IS THIS MESS. AFTER 60 SECONDS OF HEARING THE SHOW I WAS HOOKED. I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THE SHOW EVER SINCE. When IYW was on the TJMS, I was late for work many a day waiting to hear the end of the show. I was glad to find the show online and catch up on months of “lost” episodes. I really almost cried as I came to grips with the show actually going off the air. Much like lots of other people out there, how am I going to start my day? At least Pookie got a chance to say goodbye. I would love to have a chance to hear Kianna say, “my daaaadddddy” on more time. See ya when I see ya, IYW!!!!

I love all the heartfelt comments from all the loyal IYW listeners and I feel much of the same way about the show, but I am really angry with the Producers for the way they played their listners. I mean, if it was a matter of cost to run the show, at least they could have presented that situation to the fans and at least given us an option of subscribing to listen. I’m sure many would not have had a problem with that…..but nooooooo instead we the door slammed in our faces.

Thank you for being there! I wish all of you the very best in whatever life holds for you. Giving the fact that IYW was a huge success I know that next endevor will be as well. Much love and God Bless you all.

One request, before you close this website down completely, please post the names and pictures as well as listing the characters they played, of all of the tremendous talent. I’d like to know the names and faces, and I’m sure everyone else would as well, in order for us to be able to follow their work WHEN they show up doing something else. I’d hate for one of you to be associated with something else and didn’t support it because I didn’t know any one of you were involved. I’m sure many opportunities are on the horizon for all of you, and would love to know when that happens.
